Q:  WHO IS MARTIAL OCEANS INC. AND HOW LONG HAVE THEY BEEN AROUND? 

A:  On 2005, Martial Oceans International, a company dedicated to promoting martial arts on the high seas was created by Anthony (Tony) Calvino and Rebecca (Becky) Greenough the owners.
      Both Tony and Becky realized that most martial artists spend weekends apart from their families participating in seminars, tournaments and or convention and wished that they could bring their loved ones along; or at least allow them to have some fun while the seminars are going on and not be bored to death in some out of town hotel room.         They realized that the concept of seminars, and conventions on cruise ships is not a new one and they wanted to come up with a better, more fun and educational way of doing a martial arts one. They knew that most of the other schools or promoters doing them were either bringing instructors of only one discipline/style or they were just doing conferences where the students were getting lectures and no physical training on the diverse arts; Becky and Tony wanted to change that.
      Tony and Becky came up with a patent pending formula… the Master Instructors would teach two days, a maximum of three seminars each day, one subject each day, every two hours and they would only do it while at sea, allowing the martial arts student the ability to train with several Masters each day. The Masters will teach from seven in the morning until about three or four in the afternoon allowing the students and the Masters time to spend with their family on the cruise ship enjoying it’s amenities, and the ports we are planning to visit the rest of the time. Also school owners and Martial Arts Instructors would be able to get possible tax breaks, and… get a free cruise by having their students join them (Tony and Becky would like them to consult their personal accountant for the laws in their own country or state).

Q:  WHO ARE THE MASTERS GOING ON THE CRUISE?
A:   If you click on the MASTERS link to the left and you will read about the ones that are presently slated to go. We might get a few more, but these are up to now the ones.  Some Masters may drop out during the year due to scheduling difficulties, that is why we ask you please make a couple of selections more than the ones who were your first choice and paid for.

Q:   WHERE IS THIS CRUISE GOING AND HOW LONG?
A:   Martial Oceans will be hosting another cruise with the masters. We have planned a cruise with Montrose Travel and Carnival Cruise Line on July 17th to the 21st   (Thursday to Monday), 2008 the students and guests who sign up for the seminars and or the cruise, will get a five-day, four night cruise to  CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico on a fun and beautiful cruise ship named “Elation”. Q:   WHAT IS THE COST OF THE CRUISE?

Q:   DO I PAY FOR FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT?
A:   No! the cruise price includes all the food you can eat… Beverages such as tea, sodas, coffee in the dining or snack areas are included, but not in the specialty stores, such as Starbucks etc. If at anytime we go in the ships specialty restaurants, then there will be a nominal charge for the food.  Liquor is not included in the cruise cost, but again, please contact Violet with Group Bookings at Montrose Travel at 1-800-301-9673

Q:   DO YOU HAVE A PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABLE?
A:   For sure we do… the cruise can be paid off little by little, but you must speak to Montrose about booking before a certain date, because you might be booking to close to the departing time and you would have to pay all of it right away. Call them at 1-800-301-9673

Q:   CAN I BRING MY OWN GEAR/WEAPONS ON BOARD?
A:   Yes you can but a list of any weapons must be faxed at least one month in advanced.  All weapons are to be turned in to security and used on board only during the seminars (even foam equipment).
